Default Basic Black Jack Question

Hi,
Sometimes after one of my friends big poker tourns I see a kid dealing blackjack. It is usually to a few other kids with one or at most two decks. Also, sometimes you will find a kid dealing one on one just you.
I didn't play, but is there a basic strategy I can use to gain a small edge? With one deck I should be able to count right?

Yes. One deck Blackjack is EV+ if you count the cards. And increase your wager when the count is good.

You can count as many decks as you want, but, yeah, the fewer the better, usually. If someone is using two decks but only dealing 50% of the cards, then you're better off playing six decks that are dealt to 75% penetration.

Under the current usual playing environments, it's far easier to be a winning mid-stakes poker player than it is a winning low-limit blackjack player.

Card counting takes a lot of practice and it can be tough to get away with if you don't know what you're doing. You can learn basic strategy for the game and cut the casino's edge down to about .2%. Basic strategy (BS) should only take a few hours to memorize and can be found on various websites. There's different BS charts for games with different rules, so make sure you know the rules of the game you're playing.

Try this link. Enter your rules, # decks and it will calculate the best basic strategy. Make sure that BJ is paid 3 to 2. the current casino trend is 6 to 5 for single deck games making them unplayable. Blackjack strategy
