Default HU w Big Blind on button - long post

Online, the button ususally has the big blind when playing heads up. Obviously, this must have an effect on how many hands you play and how aggressively you play them. Generally, you should be much tighter from the SB, and much more LAG from the BB button. But i wonder how much of an adjustment is needed.

It seems to me that you should be folding most of your hands out of the small blind. Where is the line though? Are hands as good as Q8 or A3 worth mucking out of the small blind out of position? What about 22 or 33?

The oppposite should be true when youre in the big blind on the button. How bad a hand do you need to muck to a raise? If the SB raises, should you always threebet if youre going to play? I tend to threebet fairly liberally, but when the SB limps, i often check even my better hands. Is this too passive?

Some food for thought.

thanks

I don't think it was necessary to say "long post."
