Half Sized vs. Full Sized Pot Bets?

I have read a bunch of posts that says we should stick to full sized pot bets in NL HE. In the theoretical sense, how can u prove that this is better based on the fundamental theorem of poker, or any other mathematical explanation? thx in advance.
