AKo flopping top pair
Here is a recent hand of mine playing 1/2 6-max.
Hero has AKo on the button, 2 limpers, hero raises, SB, BB and limpers call. Flop: K-3-5 rainbow. SB bets, BB calls, MP raises, Cutoff folds, Hero 3-bets, SB, BB, MP call. Turn: 4 SB bets, BB folds, MP calls, Hero calls. Can i raise here? maybe he hit two pair, i would think that if he has a set or straight he would check-raise here. River: 7 SB bets, MP calls, hero calls. The bet out on the turn by the SB made me think, wondering what others would do in that situation. |

Re: AKo flopping top pair
Hey Brandon,
I think calling is fine. Sometimes he'll have a hand like K6 that is betting because of the extra outs but a lot of the time that bet, esp. at 1/2, means two-pair or something. |

Re: AKo flopping top pair
Turns out that the SB has KQ, and MP has K10 and i take it down. Why did he bet the turn? Could he think he was ahead, or was he trying to scare me off after i 3-bet him? If he was trying to do that, he should have 4-bet and led out. I thought he caught two pair and MP was calling with top pair.
