I'm all over MSU on this one....thanks for the heads-up.

Sparties clobbered a decent Minnesota team.
Damn near almost beat Michigan.
Almost beat OSU also (led 19-17 with 3:00 left in that one)
And they absolutely destroyed Wisconsin.
And they've been looking pretty darn good most of the way.


Penn State has been losing a lot of close contests....lot of D and no O in College Station.
at Wisco, 3-16
at Minny, 7-16
vs. Purdue, 13-20
ys. Iowa, 4-6
at OSU, 10-21
vs. NW, 7-14

So they don't ever get blown out it would seem which partly justifies the low line....but MSU -5 or -6 certainly seems more appropriate considering how well they've been playing lately.


Also - the O/U is 43.5. MSU can score points in bunches....but PSU hasn't had a single game in the conference where the total was higher than 43. I like the under a lot on this one too.

I am uneasy about ever betting on MSU...they are college's New Orleans Saints.

Also taking Wisconsin +3 at Iowa as well as the over (40).

On Pinnacle....the early betting seems to still be heavy on MSU and the under. Both have moved a half-point (MSU -3.5, O/U to 43).


OSU +5.5 at home vs. Michigan looks tempting....but I don't have enough confidence in that one. I hate both the Buckeyes and the Wolverines anyway and wish they could both lose.

I'm leery of this one. The lower ranked team is favored which always raises a red flag for me.

I think they're viewing it as two evenly matched teams.....in other words, this would be a Pk if on a neutral-field.

Iowa is a 3-point favorite on their home-turf.
