Default 25NL did I play this right?

Two questions on this hand.
After the flop:
With UTG+1 and Button both putting 3 into this pot (~$18 in pot) was I getting proper odds to try and hit my Inside Straight Draw or should I have folded?

After the Turn
I pushed because there were two clubs on the board, but should I have just called the $10 raise instead of going all-in. I seem to always be afraid of the flush lately after getting run down by a couple of them.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (10 handed)

MP2 ($9.03)
MP3 ($28.45)
CO ($27.65)
Button ($26.65)
SB ($34.95)
Hero ($28.35)
UTG ($26.55)
UTG+1 ($60)
UTG+2 ($21.9)
MP1 ($24.5)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG calls $0.50, UTG+1 calls $0.50, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $0.50, MP3 raises to $2, CO folds, Button calls $2, SB (poster) folds, Hero calls $1.50, UTG calls $1.50, UTG+1 calls $1.50, MP2 calls $1.50.

Flop: ($12.25) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $3, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Button calls $3, Hero calls $3, UTG folds.

Turn: ($21.25) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $3, Button raises to $10, Hero calls $23.35 (All-In), UTG+1 folds, Button calls $11.65 (All-In).

River: ($69.25) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $69.25

if you feel that both players will go all in with you if you hit the Q on the turn, then you have the implied odds to call the $3.The fact that there is a 2 flush on the flop makes this call less than optimal though. Fold here is the best move.

also, fold Kjo preflop to raise.

I dont think its a good play.

For one thing, its an out of position draw. You have to discount your odds heavily for the fact that it will be unlikely you will get odds to call and see the river.

Also, it is a weak draw (as Amoeba pointed out). This means you may have only 3 outs.

And last, I dont think the odds work out. The stacks are not that big. That final pot is as big as you could hope for in this situation, but you had only 6-7% chance of hitting your card on the turn. Although 3/70 looks like a bargain with that chance, this assumes they will 1) go all in and 2) that they dont river a flush.

in addition to what the other guys said, i think calling preflop has -EV generally.

da grouch's first lesson.
Do NOT call preflop raises with KJo.

got it.

So, if anyone would read this, what hands are worth while to call preflop raises with under normal circumstances?
Anything besides the big ones AA-JJ and AK and KQ? or is KQ even ruled out of this one?

Thank you guys for your thoughts allready.

late position, many people and/or aggressive players who will pay heavily on your hitting with deep stacks = add suited connectors, PP and other sneaky hands that you can ditch easily if the flop is blank.

playing hands like suited connectors that require a lot of skill in working/determining whether to continue are not recommended if you're new.

No offense, but preflop sucks. KJo is a trap hand and a money drainer. I'd like the flop call alot more if the board weren't two suited. The turn play is great but I don't like how you got there.

I would rather call with mid pocket pair instead of KQ.

I don't like calling decent sized pf raises with KQ or AJ or even AQ.

No offense taken.
The whole reason I posted this hand I that, even though I won the hand, I felt that I had played it wrong somewhere.

Based on what people have said, just calling the preflop raise with KJo was, indeed, awful.

So, I appreciate any and all of the comments I have gotten and will be watching what I call with preflop more carefully.

Thanks
da grouch
