Re: KK vs 3-bet on flop
Cap the flop and then lead turn. If he raises then slow down.

Re: KK vs 3-bet on flop
I think you went into check/call mode a little too soon.
I would call the 3bet(but if there were other callers then I'd cap) then bet out on the turn. If you get raised on the turn, then go into check/call mode. |

Re: KK vs 3-bet on flop
This is the exact situation I hate to get caught in with an overpair. You don't want to give the raiser more credit than he deserves, but a lot of people love to play suited cards even when they're mediocre in high card strength or connectedness. When I lose to a flush with a hand like yours I kick myself and wonder if I'm too loose. Anyway, sometimes you'll be surprised and he'll only have a pair of queens, but it's also possible that he has a set (which is consistent with his preflop call and flop bet). I lose these hands against the 3-flush board, oh, I guess, 80% of the time.
If you're still ahead and bet the turn, he'll (likely)call. If you're behind, he'll raise. Therefore, if you intend to showdown, your check-call profits as much as a betting out if you will win, and loses less if you're behind and will lose. comments? criticism? |

I think what you're saying about the turn makes sense. I'd cap the flop though.
