Default TPTK, call an all-in re-raise?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.5 BB (10 handed)

saw flop|saw showdown

Button ($49.55)
SB ($26.45)
BB ($38.97)
UTG ($49.05)
UTG+1 ($22.9)
Hero ($23.5)
MP1 ($32.5)
MP2 ($88.2)
MP3 ($22.2)
CO ($20.5)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $2, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB calls $1.75, BB folds.

Flop: ($4.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $2, Hero raises to $9, SB raises to $24.45 (All-In), Hero???

It's Party $25 NL so I have been playing TPTK as a hand to go to the felt with. But I feel maybe I should fold to the all-in re-raise. Comments?

Was he on a flush draw and hit?

this call all depends on your read of the player... if he is conservative and only reraises with 2 pair or better then you should get away because you are way behind. If he is aggressive and willing to gamble with just top pair, or a flush draw then you call. Your call is entirely dependent upon whether or not you think you are ahead and that is based on your read of the other player.

Call. If my math is right you only have another $12.50 left to call with anyways and Party 25 games just are not deep enough to get away from TPTK hands. My guess is he has an Ace and wants to charge the draws as much as possible to play or is over playing a flush draw either way you are ahead and given the fact you have the K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] it makes the call that much easier.

Your opponent has to have at least AK or he is an idiot. Has he behaved like a total idiot up to this point? If so, lay it down you'll get him later. If you have no reads then lay it down also. Even at Party calling is not +EV.

fwiw, I don't like the size of your raise. You are overbetting the pot. If you are ahead, you want him to call. But you are inviting trouble with big overbets when you only have TPTK. You are not going to get enough calls from players who are behind and too many calls from players ahead.

With no specific reads on the player Once you raised that large of an amount after raising preflop and he comes back over the top. I have to think you are behind here because he has to put you on AK atleast if not AQ. I put him either on AQ, A5, or 55 with a small chance he is pushing with 4 to a flush.

Like the others said, this is totally player dependent. Against players Ive seen acting crazy, this is instant call, against non-retards I fold. BTW, the lead out small then re-raise all-in is usually a huge hand.
