When will internet poker level off?
I was talking to a freind of mine tonight about the recent popularity of internet poker and wondered if this is here for the long haul or just a fad.
Took my curiousity further by typing "internet poker" on Google and received over 3 million hits. Impressive but still a long way away from the word "porn" and 145 million hits. I was comparing.....thats all. Anyway, I have noticed some internet sportsbooks have decided to get into the poker business. Is this because maybe they feel poker is competition and may affect sports betting? What is your thoughts? Fad or should I start to teach my 3 year-old son how to play poker now (ala Tiger). looks like the .net tv commercials are going to be allowed, and that will lead to another level that we never thought possible. it is predicted that the .net sites will eventually have over 2 million free gamers. many of them will dabble in the real thing eventually, making party's 50k online look like a clubhouse game.

I hope there will be more competition among the poker sites which will lead into a rake war. If you are blowing away the game by 3 BB/100 they do even better with 4 to 4.5 BB of rake/100 in small stakes. So, you are basically beating the game itself by 7BB/100, right? That's quite a lot! If there are more players to come into poker they could lower the rake considerably. On the other hand, newcomers probably don't care about the rake anyway.

Here in Punk's peasant zoo we display a higher level of sofistacation than the tawdrie behavior that thine selves our displaying.
You too need to clean up before entering the embrace and protection of Punk castle. Don't make me tell you twice as Punk is not one to repeat himself.
