Live $2/5 no-limit hand
I'm in the big blind w/A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG makes it $20 to go called by the button and small blind. I have about $320 after buying in for $200 and all opponents have me covered. What should I raise to?

Re: Live $2/5 no-limit hand
$100 to go, push any flop. You will get called by top pair hands as well.
EDIT: Raising this much has several benefits: if you get a caller to pot will be at least 300, making your all in on the flop not look ridiculous. You don't give anyone odds to hit a set. You will not find it hard to get your money in if you get a caller. You might get it all-in with UTG, whose open raise is often a big hand. |

Re: Live $2/5 no-limit hand
i'd make it more like 70. making it 100 makes it possible that you'll win pre-flop. if you get more than one caller, the pot will be big enough that you can push. if you just get one, you can take two bets to do it.

Re: Live $2/5 no-limit hand
Wayfare,
Thanks for the advice. That was exactly what happened. When it got back to me I called the twenty and raised $100 more. UTG called the button folded and the small blind called. |
