checkraise all in...like it? hate it?
Transitioning from online NL play to SNG play...still fixing a few leaks...what is the general consensus on a play like this?

Re: checkraise all in...like it? hate it?
I would like it a lot more of MP1 didn't call the big flop bet. With a rainbow and mostly uncoordinated flop like this, you have to think one of your opponents has 2 pair or better to be putting that many chips in the pot. Having said that, I don't know if I'd be able to get away from this hand at the low buy-in SnG's, since I've gotten paid so many times by random gutshot and top pair bad kicker in this spot.
With only one player in the pot, I CR all-in easily here. With 2 in the pot, I am really on the fence. I'd be interested to see what others would be here too. |

Re: checkraise all in...like it? hate it?
I'm folding here after the caller too. People see rainbow flops as an opportunity to slowplay more safely with 2 pair plus. I can't see why he would call a 5x BB bet when all he invested is 1 BB preflop unless he is setting up a bluff on the turn with the likelihood that utg will check. Then again, it is pretty early for a bluff like that against random players.

Re: checkraise all in...like it? hate it?
I'd bet the pot at the flop rather than checking. I much prefer to lead into players at this stage. Then if raised, I'd fold - they may be draw chasing but I'd let them fight it our at this stage.

Re: checkraise all in...like it? hate it?
I would not check raise into 3 people in a SNG with this hand. In this instance I would bet about t100. If called, I would shut down and check the turn. If UTG raised my bet and MP1 called I would let it go. I would worry that one of the limpers had KT, TT, or 44. I stil have plenty of chips and would look for a better spot to push than this.

Re: checkraise all in...like it? hate it?
I've limped with KK and AA UTG before, common strategy hoping to have the pot raised by a later position player in order to reraise - though unless the table is full it can be a dangerous move.
