Default Stud/8 Marginal Starting hands

I've been playing more 7Stud/8 lately and have been playing fairly tight (mainly just playing 3 to a 6 or better, 3 to a low straight or flush, or 3 to a 7 w/ an A, high pairs higher than any door cards and rolled up trips), but I've been having problems w/ some hands.

What do you do w/ hands like three to a big flush(AKQs down to say AJ8s), 3 flushes w/ 2 lows(A95s), low pairs w/ low kickers (266) and medium pairs w/ overcard kickers (88K) on 3rd? I usually dump the pairs if any of my cards(pair or kicker) are dead, and I dump the flushes if I see more than 2 of the suit, but I've been in situtations where I'll call the bring-in, get raised and get strung along for several bets trying to make a hand. I think I am misplaying these hands most times.

Any advice?
