I haven't played in Deadwood myself so I can't give you many specifics but I would also like to hear from anyone who has actually played there as well. I am only a couple of hours away and keep thinking about going over but just haven't done it yet.
Anyway, here is the info I have.

Saloon #10 has tables and looks like they are running several tournaments.
Here is some tournament info from the website http://www.saloon10.com/casino.asp

Some more Deadwood contacts

I believe they play live poker at cadillac jacks
http://www.cadillacjacksresort.com/html/index.html
Greg Raymer is supposed to be there this Saturday.

I think they also play at The Gold Dust

Cadillac Jacks has the nicest poker room. They have a 2-100 anytime game on monday nights. They have tournaments throughout the week. Monday, Friday and Saturday are the best days to play. The Golddust has pretty good games also.

And if you're dealt aces and eights, run, don't walk out the back door.

The main game at Saloon Number 10 is 2/10 spread limit
stud/8. They also spread limit HE and Omaha/8, although I don't remember what the limits were as I've always played the stud/8 game.

Saloon Number 10 really is a fun place to play, sawdust on the floor, free tap beer, Wild Bill's death chair on the wall, and a good mixture of locals, tourists, bikers, and cowboys. If you want a real adventure, stop by during the Sturgis rally.

good luck

Most of the casino's usually have a 2-5, 4-8, or 10/20 game going also.
