Default when is enough?

Hello all, I am new to this forum. I enjoy reading the posts, unfortunately I cannot read them all. Is there a post in here that deals with when to quit for the day? I play 10/20 hold 'em at a local casino. I just recently started 10/20 and I am a little bit of a loser (about one buy in). The problem is that a few sessions I realize that I could have left with double my buy in but I played longer eventualy lost it all or the majority of it. I tell myself that my goal is to get to double my buy in, but then how do I possibly quit when I reach the goal in two hours? Mostly I lose because I get drawn out on, it gets to be a pretty wild game as it gets later. I've read that I should play as long as I'm playing well. I don't know if this is a good plan or not. I just hate marking down a lose when I have so many chips at one point. So, play while the game is good or quit when I'm ahead?

Default Re: when is enough?

Your next hand of poker is your next hand, weather you play it now or tomorrow.
I would advise you not to be so worried about a + or - session, but instead play the best you can while you are at the table.
If you are a winning player, you will win more the more hands you play.
Get up if the game is bad, you are playing bad or you are tired.
Dont worry so much about weather you are up or down, that shouldn't really be a factor in your decision making.
