Expanding My C: Drive
I recently reinstalled XP Pro on my computer and made the mistake of only allocating 4 gigs for the C: drive. Now, after installing MS Office and Norton, I'm down to about 50 megs of free space. Few things work properly, and I get those really annoying yellow balloons every two minutes telling me that I'm low on disk space.
Is there a way to solve this other than reinstalling Windows? Right now I have one 4 gig partition with 50 megs free (C, one 11 gig partition with 9 gigs free (D, and one gig of unallocated space. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks. -2kF |

Re: Expanding My C: Drive
There are several ways:
Use partition magic to modify partition size Move programs/files to other partition Buy another hard drive and ghost the disk. Hard drives are cheap: 120GB seagate for $40!!! Outpost has the Seagate 120GB 8MB Cache Hard Drive for $90 - $50MIR = $40 + ~$5 shipping. Add to cart to see lower price. |
