Default Billionaire Fish Had Good Chance Of Winning!

Hello,Players,

The billionaire fish had about an equal chance of winning as the experts in this game!

In any given short period of time like a week, the fish has about the same chance of winning as the experts in this 20k-40k game.

The reasons are twofold:

(1) In the short run,"randomness" is the determining winning factor--NOT skill.

We know that in any given session,a fish can cash out several racks while an expert can lose several.

In any casino game,a player can win in the short term. "Randomness" is the key to determine whether he will win or lose.

If no one won in the short run in any of these casino games, then very few players would come to the casino to "try their luck".

Hence, the casino would go out of business.

************************************************** ************************************************** (2) As the limits of a poker game increase, the expected hourly rate of an expert increases,BUT his /her hourly rate reaches a max limit and as the limits continue to go up,the expert's hourly rate will evetually diminish to "0".

The reason is that the expert will be required to play almost any random hand since the antes/blinds will be extremely high.

Either that or watch his/her chips be depleted by the antes/blinds.

It's like playing in a tournament. When there are a few players at the final table with about an equal amount of chips or where none of the players have an over-whelming number of chips, then the determining factor is the random distribution of the cards during this short period.

Experts and fish alike will have to play many more random hands or watch their chips dwindle away by the antes/blinds.

Happy Pokering,

Sitting Bull

The expert's expectation does not approach zero as the limits/antes increase. His expectation relative to the size of the game may well level off, so the derivative of this function may approach zero, but not the value of the function. I think. Anyway, it is true that the fish could have had a lucky week and come out ahead, but it was probably very unlikely if his competition was a bunch of world-class pros.

Is this post actually in reference to something? What proper pro would sit in a cash game without a sufficient bankroll? Did the blinds/antes actually increase or are you talking hypothetically?
