Default Why Rivera Now?

Could it be that Torre is planning to retire and wants to go out as he would have liked to: with Rivera getting the last out in the top of the ninth?

I can't imagine why he wasnt put in the 8th inning. Those 2 runs have really hurt the Yanks. Of course Rivera hasn't exactly been perfect in the series.

Go Red Sox,
Ken

I agree. Rivera hasn't been untouchable this series, but he had only given up one run in four appearances. Gordon has been shaky at best.

Rivera should have been in earlier, I agree. Skip Gordon altogether.

Will Torre tell his team to congradulate the Red Sox after they win?
