Default POLL: What things do you look for in a LIVE cardroom?

There are lots of things that make a cardroom good. In the following poll, I have chosen 15 of them, and you may pick three when you take the poll. These are not the only things that make a cardroom good, they are just the 15 things I thought of in the time I took to write this post. Feel free to elaborate on anything you wish regarding this post.

Some assumptions:

1. We're talking Vegas, or another big city with many cardrooms to choose from. The consumer has choices.

2. Location is not an important issue.

3. This is a reasonable sized cardroom, not a small one (at least 10 tables).

Enjoy the poll, looking forward to the results.

Clean chips and tight felt on the table make the experiance so much better.... but I'll suffer with crummy chips and horrible felt long as I am where the action is.

Personally I like/need hot chick cocktail waitresses, like the Borgata. The clean chips, plasma TVs, smoke free environment, comfortable chairs, new looking tables are all nice too. Not to mention the action seems great, especially on the weekends.

btw, if you're gonna include "non-smoking room" as one of your options, you should probably include "smoking room" as well.

I am a recreational player so I am looking for a good time. Anything that improves the experience and makes the game more fun is a very big positive to me.

I really like getting comps and a cheap rate on my hotel. I love the wheel at the Excalibur. I like the bonus hands at the Gold Strike, Tunica in the off hours. I like high hand jackpots and setting around a friendly table.

I don't like Bad Beat jackpots as well because I would rather that chip stayed in the pot, but I take the money when they hit and I think they attract fish.

I love guys in their twenties wearing sunglasses at low limit tables, most should just go ahead and have a fish tattooed to their forehead.

Al, the point I am trying to make and I hope I did, is the things that a pro/semi pro likes will be IMO different than things a recreational player likes.

I play for fun but I read and study to improve my game because Poker is more fun when you win.

Funniest thing I've read in a long time.

Two of them on the same table a couple nights ago. I mean come on!!! Do you really think I give rats butt what you do...fold/call/raise...I don't really need to look into your soul to make my decision.

I understand how it happens, but don't they eventually figure out that as their chips go down and others go up that sunglasses aren't really necessary in limit poker.

I was just waiting for one of them to say "How much you got left over there" while considering a raise against me.
