Default Quest for Vegas - 100 $109 SNG\'s

So I'm still a Vegas Virgin. Never been there, only driven through once. And only live poker experience is a free tournament in town (Bar Poker) and at the Harrah's in Omaha (VERY slow 5/10 game, and I hate limit).

So, my wife and I made a deal that after I make another 10k from where I'm at now, she gets $500 funny money, and I get a trip to vegas to play in some big tourney action.

So, I could play tournaments and hope that my $$ comes from another big tourney win, but that has too much variance for me to think that it could happen in the next few months (Although it still may).

So I'm back to SNG's. I've tried the NL games, the limit games, and no matter what I get back to SNG's as the best source of income for me. So the goal is to play 100 SNG's at the 109 level, with a ROI of 35% or better.

I'll post in 10 SNG increments, including my bustouts/interesting hands from those 10. Hopefull it wont bore anyone, and I hope to get some good critiqueing of my play (Especially when I get a bit weak/tight).

Nick

Almost exclusively Party. I've played the 109's on Pokerstars, and would say they are significantly tougher than Party's.

Wouldn't you need about 270 tournies to make 10k at the 100's or is this just work toward the goal?

their Turbo $105 + 9s attract some tough players too. i'd like to see some of Party's top $109s and $215s play Pokerstars' $109s, $114s, $215s, $320s, and $530s players. typically, you might see the PS players playing all five levels depending on how they fill up.

Yah. I dislike the Turbos. I feel like it turns crapshoot a bit too early for me. I like to mix it up in the early levels to build a stack.

RJB

You're right. And this is simply to get things started, and get into the habit of grinding some games intead of just playing a steady diet of tourney games.
