Default Top Pair Holds Up What % of the Time? Pocket Overpair?

If one of you can describe the solution and answers to these two post-flop percentage questions, I'd be much obliged. Providing the solution will help me cut down on these type of questions in the future (in theory)....

Thanks

Question #1
What is the percentage of the time top pair holds up if it is split, and JJ or higher, after the flop? Assume a kicker of 10 or higher.

Question #2
What percentage of the time will an overpair to the flop win?

there's really no efficent way to figure these things out without an odds calculator. here's a link to a fairly good one, and if you don't like it just do a google search for a better one

I personally think you're asking the wrong questions about these kinds of hands. What you want to be asking are things like "will my opponent call a bet with an inverior hand?" or "should i bet my overpair to make sure i'm not being drawn at for free?" The actuall odds of these hands beating a random hand are relatively insignificant compared to how they fare against different opponents.
