Re: Party 10+1: Too loose?
I would check the turn, and see what he does. If he bets, I call small, fold big (without a read). I do the same on the river. If he checks behind, I lead out the river, and fold to a big raise.

You can't look strong and not lose half your stack. Check on the turn, be weak, so you don't lose half your stack.

Re: Party 10+1: Too loose?
Good bet on the flop, when he calls you should put him on a flush draw, trip 2's or K crap kicker.
The turn bet is too big. If he calls, he has you beat. A smaller bet can make him fold. With that call, he is screaming "I have a 2!" and MAYBE a flush draw. I would check here to see what he does. If he bets, he most likely has a king. Trips are usually slowplayed by PP and they don't bet flush draws until they come. On the river, no flush came. Betting here is a bad idea. His hand has been narrowed down to a flush draw or trip 3's. If he missed his flush, he's not going to call a bet and will check behind you. That small bet should set off warning bells in your head. It's smaller than the turn bet, he's trying to make you call or maybe reraise. |
