Default PL/NL on line player\'s group

Several players that play PL and NL poker on line have discussed having an impromptu newsletter that can be used as a feedback to the sites. Several things that have been casually discussed are rule suggestions to protect the players from angling loopholes that cause the site to differ from protections in place at B&M sites. For example one site made the following change after being explained why it was not good for the game:

Players are no longer allowed to keep lowering their table stakes after each win in order to squirrel away chips that should be at risk. If a player wishes to decrease their stack they must leave the game for a min of 45 min at this site.

Other recommendations is a time button that may be used to have more than the max. 20 sec allowed for decisions. Some players have have indicated that 20 secs is not enough time to review the action when a pot of several hundred dollars is at stake. Several players voiced a desire for a straddle button as well.

Another discussion is PL and NL tournament promotions through the providing sites: Multi-table, Satellites for major tourneys, invitational. Tourney structure so that it is not a crap shoot, nor a rock feast is a concern of many players also.

One of our the main goals is allow new players to this structure be secure and promote a game atmosphere that will allow the growth of this style of poker.

In addition, we will not a be promotion group any site.

What we are not intending to discuss:

Game theory- 2+2 does that quite well

Rating and discussion of individual players- Unethical and would cause a mistrust of the main purpose of the group.

Conspiracy theories- Self explanatory

The discussions are not a vehicle for advertising or for promoting anything that conflicts with sites such as this.
