Default Some Hands from Today\'s Session (9/25)

Another really good session today - only 400 hands but I made $72. I'm thinking of going up to 1/2 - I've played at higher limits and lost money, which is why I'm now playing .5/1 - (though I do have a pretty big positive bb/100 at 2/4). In addition to any help with these hands, what do you think is a reasonable bankroll to be playing 4 tables of 1/2? Thanks in advance...

1) Does anybody fear a better hand than mine here? I definitly had a bad feeling about this, but forced myself to keep betting...wrong move?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Final Pot: 28.50 BB

2) This was just a really fun hand...

Final Pot: 19.50 BB

3) Here is another hand where I luck out - I semi-bluff the flop with bottom pair and a backdoor draw to the nut flush and get reraised. I feel obligated to call with the dollar amount in the pot and then turn a flush draw. Did I play this wrong? Should I have check/folded the flop?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed)

River: (10.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises, SB calls.

Final Pot: 14.50 BB

4) Posted this one as it happened today - I'm a little angry at myself for being so scared of a flush on the river...

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

UTG checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

Final Pot: 11.25 BB

5) Here is an instance where I felt totally confused as of what to do. With all the betting and raising I was sure that, even if I hit my draw, my flush wasn't going to take it down. At what point should I have laid this hand down?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG posts a blind of $0.5.

Turn: (9.50 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
UTG+2 bets, MP2 raises, Hero calls, Button folds, UTG+2 calls.

River: (15.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
UTG+2 bets, MP2 raises, Hero folds, UTG+2 calls.

Final Pot: 19.50 BB

6) I go for a blind steal with 86s and get called. Flop is AA6 - I have to bet this to at least represent the ace. Once he raises me, I go into check/call mode - is this wrong?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Hero raises, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (7 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9 BB

7) Finally, some more stubborn calling - there were a lot of hands he could have been raising with that I beat, and I didn't want to admit he didn't have one of them - is this stupid calling or not?

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 raises, Hero calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls, SB folds, BB folds.

Turn: (5 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP2 bets, Hero calls.

River: (7 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP2 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9 BB

Ajax, the blocks of hands are kind of overwhelming.

1) The BB's line is really wierd. I can't help 3-betting the river though. UTG+1 is giving you an overlay on the times he has JJ.

2) See, you didn't need to post this, did you?

3) I'd just check-call the flop, rest is routine.

4) you have to raise preflop. Bet the river.

5) limps a little loose. do you see why suited connectors are variance magnets?

6) I just fold this preflop. Against loose blinds, you're just not going to come out ahead.

7) Fold preflop. Fold the flop.

I'll stop with posting blocks - I just like to get a lot of my more confounding hands looked at at once. Sorry if it bugs you.

Post each hand as a separate reply to a main post. I like that method, meself.
