I can't tell you why the recent renewed interest, but I think I can tell you why so many people were touched by the post.

You were completely open and honest. You showed people what it took to become a professional player, with all the risks and rewards. The post was 100% heart and mind, 0% bullshit. (Just like you, I might add.)

As one of the most respected posters here (for your excellent poker mind, not for your dubious political viewpoints [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]), I'm sure there are people (including me) who felt inspired by the post, and others who gained renewed respect for you and for what it takes to be a successful pro (including me).
