weight training sites
Sorry to bring up an off topic (non political) thread in this forum.
So I've decided I want to start lifting weights in order to get in shape. I'm currently rather overweight and have a slow as molasses metabolism. Both of these things I'm hoping to improve by lifting. Sometime soon I am planning on buying a bench and weight set and probably a curl bar and some dumbells. I have little experience lifting weights, most of it in high school. Do any of you know a good free online resource for this? I'm looking for something that would describe various routines and give some advice on how to set up my own. Thanks. |

Re: weight training sites
www.ast-ss.com
Ignore them when they get to the point of trying to sell you their products. They have some good products and they are a great great resource for weightlifting info but they push their products way too much. They have great articles, great Q&As and great routines with lots of pictures of how to do different exercises right. You might also want to check out some books like Body Rx and Body for Life which have good solid plans on how to eat healthy and work out. Good luck. |
