Bay 101 Midnight tourney trip report 9/14
$70 entry + $60 rebuy (1)........
Spread Limit (Basically NL) Start with T1000, Rebuy is T2000 Chips Over 90 players sign up to play. Tournamnet begins with only 5 tables, so there are over 40 alternates. I am one of them (player #86). Eventually they are able to open up 2 more tables but I still don't get a seat until 5 minutes before the first break (1st break is after 1 hour of play). I come in with T3000 after I rebuy. I get two hands then go to break still with T3000. After the break I fold some hands looking for something playable, but nothing seems to be coming. Blinds are now 200/400 and I am the BB with T2700. UTG raises to T1200. It is folded around to my AA. I push in all my chips and UTG (he has me covered) calls. UTG shows QQ. I feel good until I see the flop... ..KJT. Uh oh I don't like my hand as much now. Turn brings the A. UTG has his straight to my set. River is a 2 And now the walk of shame. One hand AA and its over. |

What made you decide to play in this crapshoot as the 36th alternate?
