I play it the same way. Hopefully you made him whiff on the river check-raise.

After hearing the BTR mantra over and over again, I have to ask: why not bet and fold to a raise on the river? Do you think there's that high a chance they'll bluff-raise?

UTG bet & 3-bet the flop which was nearly drawless. Then an overcard hits on the turn, so he check/calls. The river pairs the jack, so what will UTG call with if he doesn't have the Jack?

You really would rather see the showdown in this pretty large pot, and after he check-raises you, it will be even larger.

I got river check-raised bluffed 3 times in two hours today on Party.

Same thing he called with on the turn.

Hey I'm not saying that he doesn't have a jack, I'm just saying he's likely to call even if he doesn't.
