Default Doubleheaders

Does anybody have any stats on doubleheaders in baseball? My suspicion is that the supposed high frequency of splits is actually only slighter higher than games played on back-to-back days. Does anybody have any statistics on this?

I think there might be a slightly more likely chance of splits because teams tend to pull out garbage pitchers for these games, and this evens the playing field a bit when one team clearly has better starting pitching.
