Default What are the \"fishing ponds\" of these and other big name pros?.

Hoyt Corkins
Annie Duke
Antonio Esfandiari
Scott "emptyseat88" Fischman
Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
Thomas "Thunder" Keller
Shawn "WestTexasMan" Rice
Mark "P0ker H0" Kroon
Paul "Beanie" Nobles
David "Devilfish" Ulliott
Robert Williamson III
James "KrazyKanuck" Worth

Got that list from an UB email and took off Ben Affleck off it, as his main income is not from poker. I just wonder how these and other "big names" make their daily $. I mean why do these guys keep "wasting" time online, if they are making "so much" in live games?. Or is it that they really aren't making that "much".

No rake, faster games, no tips, no travel expenses, multi tables.....

Same reason I only play online now, even though there are two casinos within walking distance from my house.

Well Hellmuth is looking to make his money away from playing Poker ie his book deals, marketing opportunities etc etc.

Most of the others probably have some sorts of sponsership deals etc as well, I would also think that the fact that there are games 24/7 plus the ability to multitable etc bring in the pros to internet play the same as the part time players.

I think Devilfish has or did have outside businesses as well as platying poker.

Yeah, but what stakes/games do they play?.

I'm not there yet or close, but what do you do after you kill the 15-30 party game?. (When I mean "kill" I mean when you make $250K+ per year from that game). I mean the games are really tough after that level , aren't they?.

I want to know the realistic ceiling for a mere semi-hardworking mortal.

From what I heard, P0ker H0 owns a bar somewhere, and plays online in all the big multis on UB.

On a side note, he is an absolutely phenomenal player. When Ultimate Buddy first came out I added him to my list and would watch him for hours on end.

Another side note, I am surprised "Nut Flush" is not on their list.

An important clue that might one day help to solve the "who is Lori" mystery!

Inspector William Clouseau is on the case
