Well, there's the Hard Rock in east Tampa where you can play $1/$2. Some of the local horse/dog tracks have the same limits, but I've never been to those so I don't know.

There's the gambling boats (SunCruz, etc) that have poker as well. I also hear there's a new gambling cruise ship in the works, but I don't know anything about it.

Sadly, that's about it.

I appreciate the response, but I am really looking for something a bit bigger.

I am told of an ancient tradition of private citizens who actually play poker at their homes or wherever, simply employing their own dealers and whatnot.

In fact, pretty much everywhere else I have ever lived in this country, I have been able to sniff out a decent-sized private game.

Just not here.

Guess the olfactory sense is on the wane.
