Default QJs UTG

Early in the session so no great reads. The table has been very passive and my thinking here was to bet because I would call one bet anyway, and would only get raised if I was in deep doo-doo. Don't know if this is correct.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero calls, UTG+1 (Seems Loose) calls, 3 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks,

Flop: (6 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, Seems Loose calls, CO calls, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, Seems Loose calls, CO calls.

River: (7.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, Seems Loose checks, CO checks.

Final Pot: 7.50 BB
Main Pot: 7.50 BB, between CO, Hero and Seems Loose.

I like the way you played it. On a passive table QJs is a clear call up front, and with no raise after your bet on flop, I would fire again on turn.

Were you planning to check-fold the River? If so, checking the River is fine. But I wouldn't feel comfortable folding getting 9:1, so I bet.

I go back and forth between raising and limping with QJs ... getting KJ or better to fold is good times.

Def. good times. I find myself too often thinking, "QJs-drawing hand-limp", but raising and getting called isn't really good times is it? You're going to have to hit your hand, and if you actually make your draw you're going to wish you hadn't limited the field first. Hmm. Gotta think about that one some more.

If I get called, I'm usually not too concerned. Most players bad enough to coldcall a raise will do it with worse hands than QJs. Its those pesky 3-bets that get you in trouble.
