Default Seattle poker rooms?

I am going to be in Seattle Wa for vacation and was wondering if there are any poker rooms in the area. I found a bunch listed on the internet on something called Ken's Poker Page, but the numbers and names of places seem to be wrong or out of business. Please email me or post a response if you know of any. Thanks.

Though I've never been there, Diamond Lil's in Renton is THE place to play in the Seattle area. My friend commented that they have way more games than anyone else and the choice of limits is greater as well. As an aside, I was playing a few weeks ago at Kenmore Lanes in Bothell and two of the players at my table had this exchange:

"If you're ever on your way back from the airport and it's after 5pm, stop and play at Diamond Lil's"

"Oh yeah?"

"Yep, the action doesn't start until then, but when it does, it's really wild and crazy. All you have do do is get lucky a few times and you walk out a big winner."

"I'll make sure I do that."

I was grinning from ear to ear. As usual, nobody noticed. I think I'd have to actually laugh out loud and point at the people who took part in this silly exchange to get noticed. Kenmore Lanes is North of Lake Washington and Diamond Lil's is South of it. There's also the Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn. I'll let bernie fill you in on that one. Kenmore Lanes is teeming with fish, but I've never seen a game larger than $4-$8 there. Another drawback is that they only have two tables, so the wait can be kind of long. I've always felt that I was in command at the tables when I played there. Good luck.

Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn has the most tables. Usually 1-5 Stud to 4-8 Stud. Hold 'em from 3-6 (only sometimes), 4-8 (always) up to 20-40. Some Omaha 8 or better too. $7 in free food for players. Pretty good brushes and dealers. Games can range from super fishy to tough, usually on the passive side in the lower limits. Some good players though. I think about 30 tables. Open 24 hours from Thursday opening until Wed at 6AM.

Diamond Lils in Renton has about 10-15 tables. No Stud, Hold 'Em at 4-8 (always), sometimes 6-12, 8-16, 12-24, depending on interest. Games usually start about noon with 4-8 and go up as interest starts. By evening there will be 1 or 2 higher games and 3 or 4 4-8 games. Usually 1 6-12 O8 (w/half kill). Players range from very very bad to some excellent ones. Most games are loose-passive but one or 2 wild players can change everything. I have also left 6-12 games that were chopping every 3rd hand. 1/2 price food for players. Very good floorpeople and mostly good dealers. Closest to downtown Seattle (about 10 minutes S on I-5). My favorite room. Open 10AM-6AM.

Kenmore Lanes: See ridog's post.

Hideaway is on Aurora Ave and 145th. About 15 minutes North of downtown. 4-8 and 10-20 HE. I think its a dump but people rave about how beatable the games are and therefore put up with the stinky food, smoke, bad service, etc..

Those are the main ones.

the hideaway rules.

the muckleshoot 10-20 is good, but not great, especially given the 3+1 rake (it's 2 + 1 at hideaway). The higher games have looked terrible when i've been there recently. Also, the lists are really long and you can't call in. I've never seen lists longer than 4 people at hideaway. you would think that this means that there is no action, but you would be wrong.

i like the comment about hideaway. they used to advertise how bad the service was. also dont forget the nice dark parkinglot in the back.

its actually the lowest rake in the area i believe. but not alot of tables to choose from. but there is action there. i havent played there in quite awhile, but i hear alot from others soming thru my room....

lil's....always my 2nd choice of play. and a close 2nd at that. i like the room...the dealers are cool. some i know from when they worked for other rooms, so a little bias there. KJS gave a great description of it. probably the 2nd biggest room. however, the main complaint i hear is that its stuffy and ya cant breathe. since i just played there today, it was ok...course they had the back door open. but i never had that problem anyway.

players casino in federal way...hwy 99 by seatac mall....great sat tourney...cool dealers, that bias again , weekend they spread 6-12 i heard.

used to be 2-4, 3-6 room when i played there. bring a big buyin if it is...it can get wild...not a big room

pete's flying aces...hwy 99 north of southcenter mall

new room, 2-4 maybe some higher...just starting. bring a big buy in here too. and hold on to your seat.

vito's in auburn,,,,never been there, no need with muckleshoot just up the road

muckleshoot...my main game....i drive extra for this place. lil's is closer. biggest room in the state i believe. 18 tables. *vegas players insert laugh here*

some say the toughest. debateable. game texture can change, though the 6-12 can to be the toughest in the room depending on whos on it.

i like all the floor and dealers, but of course i kinda live there, so theyre stuck with me a little. but i like all of lil's too i think. can be a little slow opening a table at times. and at times the wait can be awhile. but average is 15mins to 1/2 hour. but i have waited quite a bit longer. but this can also happen at the others. and has happened. comps are great, though they upped the menu prices. more here to do if you buddys bust out and you want to keep playing. they can go somewhere else while you play. one reason i like it for longterm is that they give quite a bit back to the players in drawings and other stuff. if they didnt have the extras they have, lil's would be its equal. especially if it were bigger.

also, once in awhile, a babe may stroll into the bar. usually lost obviously...hahaha some good lookin waitresses too.

hope this helps...

Sweet... I didn't know about all the Seattle 2+2ers. I'm a beginner... but so far my favorite place is Muckleshoot too, mostly because I like being in a casino... something about the chiming of slot machines that relaxes me.. hehe. As has been said before, Diamond Lil's is also a great place. A friend recommended the Drift On Inn a couple of months ago, but I haven't made it out there yet... I know at least that it's another option.

I'm curious who all the 2+2ers are... maybe I'll wear a 2+2 T-Shirt next time I go... hehe.

I only clicked on the links for Kenmore Lanes and Diamond Lil's and they both seemed inaccurate. KL seems small to me, but they listed it as medium. If you're looking for a poker game, it's small. The link to DL's would lead you to believe that they don't spread any poker games there.

There was some talk about having a little 2+2 get together before OhKanada (from Oly) moved away. Not sure if that happened yet. Perhaps we could all get together for a meal before or after the Tuesday night tourney at Muckleshoot.

I know that myself, bernie, ripdog, OhKanada and The Vegan all play around Seattle. I am sure there are others too.
