Default san remo=Hooters

the "San Remo hotel and casino", in Las Vegas is becoming the "Hooters hotel and casino".
They are looking for 500 more women employees who are "hooter's worthy"

The San Remo is the first casino I ever played poker at back in 1992. The San Remo is a little hotel behind the Tropicana where I was staying at the time. At 5 am I was watching from the rail as about 5 regulars were playing 7cs. Naturally they invited me over to play (I must have been the designated fish). I played so weak tight that a few good hands netted me a $80 profit even though I didn't really know what I was doing. I played for about an hour.

I didn't play poker again for 11 more years, when I decided to learn HE and play at the local casino last year.

Do you think something as naughty and bawdy as a Hooters will be accepted in Las Vegas?

Never entered the San Remo. Do you know whether they will do this Las Vegas style (blow the San Remo and build a new one), or will it just be renamed?

If renamed? Anyone knows something about the rooms there?

If the rooms were nice this would be definetly a place to stay, under new "management"

i would imagine they would HAVE to blow it down and rebuild, as the San Remo is the sorriest casino I have ever seen in my life. There is no way Hooters would just renovate the current building, as it is in a sorry state.

Yeah, but the late show of "Showgirls of Magic" is pretty good if you get a front row seat.

That's amazing! When I first visited Vegas in the mid nineties, it seemed like all the employees and a lot of the patronage were homosexual. I thought it became kindof a gay hangout. I even discussed it with a dealer at MonteCarlo and he said there were rumors about it.

Since then, my theory has been shattered. Especially now with a Hooters.

What is the Hooters factor in the real San Remo Casino? Is it adequately staffed?

The casino will just be renamed. It will remain open while the work is in progress. They are supposed to triple the size of the pool along with a major facelift for the rest of the casino/hotel. Also - vote for the Libertarians: Lbertarian Platform

Thank you,

Jim Kuhn
