Default turning off the IRRITATING blinking ads

You can turn off blinking ads yourself in Internet Explorer for Windows by going to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Multimedia > Play Animations in Web Pages and unchecking it. Voila! No more annoying blinking! Mac users miss out on this one, there's no way to turn off the animations in Safari. Complain to Apple.
(this works. It is directly stolen from wizardofodds newsletter just received. For WinXP use Control panel>intternet options, etc)

Thank you! It is much more pleasant browsing this way. I do occassionally miss out on animated avatars, but it is worth it.
