how does no limit and limit differ.
i know how they differ in betting and all but at casinos do they have n/l texas holdem i mean what do u do just buy in for as much as u want?? it seems to me that all the money players play limit games. why?? i don't play it ever with my friends or anything. iono i am just confused and am just understanding the sb and bb thing. but if someone wants to tell me why money games are normally limit i would aprecciate it.

[/ QUOTE ] Money games are generally limit for a number of reasons: 1 - The bad players lose faster and more frequently in no limit games. This leads to fewer players and fewer games. 2 - The hands take longer to play in no limit games, so if the house is charging a rake per hand, they make less money. 3 - No limit games with the same size blinds as limit games will still "play" several times larger (i.e. you can win/lose several times as much money in a no limit game with $1/$2 blinds as in a limit game with the same size blinds) 4 - When a player can lose their entire stack on one river card, a cardroom needs to be even more concerned about dealer mistakes and cheating. Many of these problems are lessened (or not applicable) in online games; hence you see more NL games around.
