Default Whats wrong with me?

This is my first time here and i just signed up with 2+2. I mostly play small stakes 2/4 to 5/10 but only in live games. When i play online i only put in like 20 bucks at a time and only play microlimits. The thing is is that i find that when i play the live games i do considerably better that i do online. I usually always end up losing my 20 in a couple of days and i find that i get frustrated with people calling my bets/raises no matter what hand they have, they just cold call everything online. When i play live games people don't play the way they do when i play online. When i go the live games i usually bring like a 100 and at the worst i end up even. My question is: should i play the higher stakes online or should i just forget the online all together?
Personally i just dont understand how you guys can play online. I cant seem to get a good feel for the game and the players online like i do in a real game. If you guys need any other info on me to help ill tell ya. Thanks for your guys' input

those people that call down with any 2 cards are the ones who pay you off so well. It's not a bad thing.

I just find that they usually end up rivering on me. Like earlier today i get poket tens in the sb. Everyone folds to me and i raise it. The table is .25/.50 limit. The bb calls. The flop is 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I flopped the set. So i bet out and the bb raises. I figure he's on his flush draw. I reraise and he then caps it. THe turn is a A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I bet out and he raises me again. I reraise and he just calls this time. So i know that he is for sure on his draw. The next is a 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I bet out hoping he doesnt have it and he raises then i just call. He made his flush.
It just seems that no matter how aggressive i get people will call me no matter what. What should i do, cause the nearest casino to me is an hour and a half away. I want to do better online. I dont know if i should play higher stakes with people who arnt such maniacs. OR is it me?

No offense, it's you. HU you are the favorite to win this both on the flop and turn so every bet he puts in he is losing money. On the turn for example he has roughly a 1/5 chance to win so you're getting about $0.80 of every dollar he bets (in the long run). What's wrong with that?

moving to higher stakes is just about never the right idea. learning how to beat players that call everything is vital to just about everyone's poker game. think about the game a little different and adjust to it. your live game will show much improvement if you are able to figure out how to beat the micro's online. read a book on low limit holdem or scan the micro forum for general advice. if the low limits do not intrest you because of the monetary value...then thats another problem...but i think building a good base and learning how to beat the micro's before taking on better competition is a good thing. the players at this level are bad, and you can beat them with a little bit of studying, and patience. good luck.

Unless you've only played a couple of times, this is not true.

What's likely is you don't play nearly as well as you think you do. Couple selective memory in live games (remember the wins, forget or minimize the losses) with the cold hard reality of online (I bought in for $20, then $40, then $20 more, now I have to buy in again) and you get the "I can't get good reads online" excuses.

PS - You should have check-called the river in your example hand.
