Re: Reasonable set laydown or weak/tight?
its pretty weak if you ask me, especially with the pot size. you had to call about a 1/3rd pot sized bet to win with a set? ill take those odds any day of the week, especially a tourney where you already spent half your chips on the hand.

Re: Reasonable set laydown or weak/tight?
I don't like the flat-call on the flop when you were raised. I think it's either push or fold here. I think this is the error on the hand, not the fold on the river.
Either you think he's made the flush (in which case I fold) or you think he's drawing to the flush, bluffing, or has some other hand (in which case I push). Personally I tend towards the latter in my low-buyin games (if this was a 50-200 I imagine you'd respect a flush more). But in 10+1, he could easily have top pair or the ace of clubs. On the times he does turn over 2 clubs, I've got quite a few outs to a full. Calling I don't think achieves anything here, and from there on you had put yourself in a tricky situation. |
