Some live hands
Extremely bummed I couldn’t play in any of the WCOOP events. I had planned on playing in the $500 NL tournament, but my gf would have kicked my ass as it was our one year anniversary, and promising to buy her an expensive necklace if I won didn't convince her to let me pay. Oh well always next year. Anyway here are some hands from a couple of live tournaments I played this week.
Hand 1: $50 re buy tournament 80 entered were down to 16. Top 8 get paid. I have a slightly above average stack of 6800. Blinds are 150/300. It's folded to me in the co I go for the steal with QJo and make it 750 to go. Only the sb calls, he's chip leader and a very aggressive player, not sure if he's any good though. Flop comes: 24Tr He takes his time and finally says check, I check behind. Turn is J. He bets 700, I call. River is an A still r. He checks and I check behind. Hand 2: Were down to 14 players, my stack has been dwindling between 5000-7000 for a while and blinds have gone up to 200/400. Not sure but I think I had something like 6200 when this hand started. utg the aggressive player from the hand above limps in, it’s folded to me on the button and I find AKd I make it 1400 to go, blinds drop, utg calls still chip leader with over 12000. Flop comes: Jh 5h 2d. Utg pushes in immediately, I call. Hand 3: Same structure as above, 60 entered top 6 get paid. Were still in the re buy period. Blinds 10/10. Everyone has about 600 in chips I’m on the button, 3 limpers to me and I limp with 78d. sb, and bb check. 6 to the flop. Flop comes: Ad 7h 2h. Checked around to me and I bet 60, only utg calls, no read. Turn is 4h: He checks, and I check behind. River is Th: He bets 100. I put him all in. Hand 4: Still in the re buy period, and I’ve built my stack to 1300 from the starting 500 in chips. Blinds at 25/50, I limp utg with 88, co says all in for 300, it’s obvious he wants to re buy, the bb says ‘ok I’ll give you some action and calls’ he has 1000 left after calling, I push in. Hand 5: Re buy period has ended blinds at 75/150, and almost all pre flop raises are taking down the pot. utg makes it 400, he’s a very loose player from what I’ve seen and could be doing this with something like A9, utg+1 goes all in for 1300 he’s been moved to the table 2 orbits ago and hasn’t played a hand, it’s folded to me in the bb and I find JJ. I look at utg and it’s pretty clear he doesn’t plan on calling. I have 2400. I fold. |
