Default Larry Walket to Cardinals

WOW. Does this make the Cards the favorite to win the world series?

That line-up of Walker, Pujols, Edmonds and Rolen is down right scary. Their only weakness is lack of a true stopper in the starting rotation. Isringhausen can also be shaky in the closer role but he is decent.

I'm a huge Cardinal fan and it's awful tough to dislike this move. We give up nothing and get him at a discount. Jocketty is the king of the bit mid-season trade to help the team. McGwire, Will Clark, Finley, Edmonds and now Walker to name a few. Just got to hope that our starting pitching is for real because it's real easy to see them falling apart in the playoffs.

What's the line on the cardinals to win the WS? Up to July 15 it was still 15 to 1, but dropped to 9/2 in most Reno Casinos the next week. So I passed on the Cardinals and tossed money at the Dodgers at 10 to 1 for the WS and 7 to 1 for the NL pennant. My one sports bet for the entire year so far.
