Foxwoods today (short trip, short report)

Well, I just tried to write a report and accidentally navigated it away from the page while I was still writing. Oops, bye bye.

Here's what I was basically saying (shortened because I'm drank and don't want to type it all again)

-I made fun of some kid who watched too much WPT.

-I complained about the waitstaff, who disappeared for an hour and then wouldn't let me order food because he was about to get off. I had a rare case of actually being nasty and rude to a fellow service industry worker. (Loudly called him a f*ckin assh*le while he was not very far away.) This is very out of character for me, and I was ahead several bets at the time and not even drunk.

-I said the games were good, I was down 14 BB but really this is more like being down 7 BB because I lost all of that money in a kill pot where AJ lost to a set of tens. (BTW this was a different hand than the one I just posted in small stakes with AJ, so don't think I posted the results to that one.) No reason I couldn't have played on but I had to go back home and take the old lady out to dinner. I will play 5/10 there from now on.

-Didn't see or seek out any 2+2 players. I was on table 33 playing 5/10 from 1 pm to 5 pm or so.

I think you were on 34 as 33 was a 4/8 table Joe U was on. I'm fairly sure of it because the board had the Table 33 on the 15/30 HOE game and went over to check it out and it was Joe U's 4/8.

This was from 1PM-7PM.

Joe was wearing a NYY Matsui jersey and I was wearing a Hawaiian shirt and Red Sox cap.

While I don't remember the table number (arrived at about 2:30 and sat in the 5 seat?) - the waiter story (I'm off in 5 minutes, no food orders and never returned after taking my drink order) sounded very familiar - were you in the 7 seat? - there was an extremely large gentleman (complainer) to my left blocking my entire left side view.

Fun table - stayed until 10:00. Never going back to 4-8!!

Ok, I must stop my story right now to throw out a huge rant, casino service while you are sitting at the tables is the worst thing in the history of earth. Somehow they are always understaffed or someone calls in sick or something happens to totally screw over the waitresses and the 100+ people in the poker room, i swear. Here is my story:

I realize I am hungry, so I ask the dealer to call for service, he does, and about 5 minutes later the waitress makes it over our way, but on the way to our table she stops, helps some other players out, and then turns around and goes back to the other tables, finally the dealer has to call her again and she gets back to our table and I get a menu to eat, and she walks off, thinking that she will be back soon. Oh yeah also, sycuan food is a total ripoff. So anyways, about 15 minutes go by and she doesn't come, and then 25, it got so bad a lady sitting next to me got up and went and found her and brought her to my table!

So then I order this, and this is EXACTLY what I say, "I would like the chicken breast sandwich with lettuce and tomato only, and two waters" (this is what I always get when i get a sandwich, i only want lettuce and tomato dammit).

She walks off and I finally get to order about 45 minutes after I first get hungry.

About 30 minutes later I get so fed up about being thirsty, I walk halfway across the casino to the soda fountain and get myself and my friend drinks, and tell my friend that if the lady comes with my food, pay her for me. So I get back and he said that she brought my food, but it was a quesadilla! Oh just great, and half the table is laughing at me because they feel sorry for me, because some of them had food coming, but not for nearly as long as I did. Btw, my friend paid for the meal, then she flips up the lid, and its the quesadilla, which was $8 instead of my $5.75 sandwich, and she didn't give him a refund.

I sit there for another 10 and say screw it, I am going over to the little kitchen area, and I am waiting for my waitress to come out so I can strangle her....I mean, ask her what the deal is. So I stand there for a while and she finally comes out with my food!!!!! Yay, ONE (dammit, i want two waters, i don't want to sit around and wait (terrible irony, i know) for the waitress to get me another water) water, and then a sandwich with onions, and chese melted onto my chicken! goddamnit, so i sit there for a few minutes and rant and rant about how this is total crap, and also that I want my $2.25 overcharge back, she gives me two blue chips, and then i tell her to go find change to give to me (yeah, i'm an ass, but she gets no tip). SOOOOOO after about 1 hr 45 minutes I finally got to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you didn't send anything back after your rant because I hear that there are some waitstaff who will bring it back to the Kitchen, make the required changes and then spit into it.

That's why I always just eat what they bring me.
