in reno, peppermill, atlantis, and cc all has poker rooms, but they are all small and very smoky. i think reno poker sucks, but it's just my two cents.

I played at the Harvey's in Tahoe - bunch of regulars and many tourists - easy to get a game -they had 3/6 and 4/8 HE and always had a spot at a spread limit stud game.

I played there (3/6) 2 nights in a row for about 10 hours total and left nearly $300 up.

I didn't want to disrupt the table to much as it was a fairly friendly game with loose pre-flop play. I played pretty tight and only showed down hands when I had nuts or near-nuts and I still would have people calling me on the river with high card or middle pair. It was nuts - but I loved it.

There was an old timer there who played every night - he'd buy in for a rack and was done in an hour. He'd re-buy for 2 more racks usually and then leave when he'd donated all of that.

I'd love to go back there and play. I think the 4/8 had some better players - but the 3/6 was just fine with me.

We didn't play anywhere else - although I'm sure there are other casinos on Tahoe's north shore that have poker rooms.

If you are on south shore - Harvey's is the only place to play.

South Lake Tahoe - Harvey's has the only current room. Horizon is going to open one, supposedly this summer. Harvey's had a 3-6 HE and a 10-20 w/ 1/2 kill HE + 1-5 Stud going over Mother's Day weekend. I only played the 3-6 HE...it was pretty soft.

Reno - Peppermill had a 4-8 w/ full kill HE and a 15-30 HE + 1-5 Stud. The 4-8 game was great while I was there last April.

Atlantis was pretty dead. Stayed there last year, and played at the Peppermill instead.

Reno Hilton had the biggest room/most games, but I didn't play there...plan on hitting that place next time.
