Default How to read Ptracker stats....

Just curious, I have been playing online for about 3 months, and am down about 80 after playing .5/1 and $5 sitngos. I have logged about 5000 hands in PTracker and would just generally like to know what type stats winning players at that level are seing.

I play live games pretty frequently at a casinon near my house and with some pretty decent friends and do a lot better than my -1/5 bb hour I have been getting at PStars. I'm confused.

As a point of reference, I've played in 2 40 person tourneys, including this weekend where three of the guys played at the WSOP after qualifying online. I placed fourth and none of the guys who played in vegas placed higher than 7th. The guy that won also won the other 40 person tourney I played in a while back, where I placed 12. All the tourney's I play are NL.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I just feel there is something I am missing re: online play.

I can't give you a whole lot of advice other than from my experience, as bad as some online players can be, they don't compare to what you can see at a live casino table where you are often playing people who barely know the hand rankings. Also, NL tourney is a world of difference from .5/1 fixed limit. You can be a very good tourney player and not be able to make much progress at a low limit table if you don't radically adjust your game.

It sounds like you're a solid player. You may just be on a cold streak, or you may just need to tweak your game a bit online.

Post a few hands that you think you did well or poorly on. There are some very good low limit players on here, and they'll let you know when you played it well and rip up your play if you screwed up. I haven't been here long, but it's helped my game dramatically.

I would suggest two things: One: you're on a bad streak of cards. I've had bad streaks go on longer than 5000 hands. Two: your live games are better than the pokerstars games you are playing--the .5/1.00 games at Stars can be pretty barren if you don't excercize good table selection.
