Default hindsight is 66/66

This is from a 50+5 SnG.

Yes, I know folding is correct here... or is it? Should I perhaps have at least waited for the flop? I would have called the first raise but couldn't call the reraise. This type of hand where I folded preflop what would become quads has happened a few times in the past... but only being a "few" times probably means I was correct to fold.

Anyone else? Do you lay down small pockets 10-10 and below here? Or still worth a call?

(I probably would've called the raises with at least 99. With 66 and this action, I almost *have* to hit the set.)

Doesn't matter if you would have gotten quads 99 out of the last 100 times you folded this. What matters is how many times you will hit your set on the flop and that is about 10%. Given that, I think a fold to a shortstacked all-in + reraise is a definite, unless there are some extenuating circumstances, like both players are blind (and I mean physically blind).

Speaking of pairs, i was just reading this when i was dealt 88 in a SNG vs a 3BB raise of only 90. I immediately folded even though 2nd in chips. 10.78% is nothing to try for unless it's go time

I dunno if it's less than 1/15th of both mine and the raisers stack i may well call and try to put him away. But then again i'm a super LAG with a nasty case of FPS.

I cannot and will not play these hands EARLY in a SNG anymore unless I'm button or SB and can call for a max of 15-30. It's against the level of self-disipline I'm trying to reach. I used to be the guy to lose 1/2 his stack with a hand like that before finally folding. Now I don't even bother because I know a primium hand is on it's way and there's no rush anyway.

How could you fold a hand when quads were coming?

Shame on you.

I'm not falling for that old trick again.
