Default Time For A New Computer

Alright, after 4 years with the same P.O.S computer, it's time for a new one and I have no clue what to get.

Very simply, I need the machine for Poker and web surfing almost exclusively. A quality machine that doesn't slow to a crawl when I have multiple tables/applications open.

Thanks,

you can buy the cheapest brand new machine out there if all you want it to do is online games and surfing. Get windows xp and 512 meg ram and no worries.

Check out the fatwallet.com forum for a really good deal on a Dell4600. It's something like $500 or so. It'll be on the front page of the Hot Deals forum. (note that I am not affiliated with fatwallet.com in any way, shape, or form).

highlife,

Yeah, I just picked up the Dell 2001FP monitor and figured I'd make it a full-fledged shopping spree.

nice, get a 2.X GHz Pentium 4 and at least 512k of RAM and you should be golden, oh and get a decent video card for your monitor.
