What would you do?

I was in PS SNG yesterday with the following hand.

This was early in the tournament, I think it was the 3rd hand. I had KcKd on the button and there were 4 callers around to me so I make it 200. I ended up with 2 callers one in early position the other late.

The flop comes out 5s2s4d

Early position goes all in and after a long pause so does the later position.

Would you call here?

I am relatively new to SnG's, so this is just an opinion. Against one player, I'd probably call without even thinking about it. With 2 people, your hand has more to withstand, assuming you are not behind to a set or AA. This early in the tournament, I'd like to say I'd lay it down, but in all honesty I'd probably hit call and pray. But I think the move here is to lay it down, especially this early in the tournament. That's my two cents.

Depends on the level of play. Anything from $30 down during primetime (6pm-midnight EST) I would make an instacall, figuring one for AK/AQ and the other for a smaller PP. The odds of a set are there, but in these SNGs, the level of play is generally so poor that I would seriously doubt that a set will be the norm here.

I'd call in a heartbeat.

I played two $10 SnG's last night and played tight as a drum and watched those idiots pick each other off one by one. When it got down to 4 both times, I had less or roughly the same as what I started with. I finished 1st both times.

I know the instacall is extremely tempting, but how important is it to triple up three hands into the tournament against such terrible players? Is it worth the risk of busting out? Again, just trying to look at both sides of the coin.

It was only $5 SNG.

My thought was that the guy in early position had at least an ace suited or was trying to buy the pot. I wouldnt think he would call that kind of raise with a small pair in early position because most likely he would have to hit a set on the flop to win. The guy in late postion was in the first 2 hands and didnt have as many chips. I figured him for someone who was just going to try and get lucky.

I guess I would have to agree with ECondreras. Most people at these 10 tables are so reckless it's not even funny. If you have the patience to only play primium hands you'll most likely make it down to 4th or 5th without much effort. It's hard to do that sometimes because you want in on the action. When I give in to temptation too early I usually get crushed by a knucklehead getting lucky down the river and there's nothing more upsetting than that. Good luck!

The nut flush draw has the gutshot, the aces, as additional outs for a total of 15 outs twice, putting you behind. On the other hand, it's very likely that they have each other's outs; if you think they both have Aces, you are slightly ahead, if you think they both have spades you are VERY slightly behind.

I would judge how good you think you are relative to the skill of the players at this table and call based on that (fold if you think you're better); it's close either way.

I did end up calling and the guy in early postion had pocket 5's and guy in later postion had Jh4d.

Turn was a 10h river was a Qd I think.

I realize I made a bad play there and should have took the more conservative approach because I felt I could still win.

The funny thing was the guy took out 2 more people (he had A high flush when someone else had K high and the other one had 2 pair) in the next hand, so in the first 4 hands of the tourney 4 people were gone.
