Default Thoughts About Pacific Poker

Well I've been playing 3/6 there the past two nights, and it's enought to have me wondering if I really want to be going back to the Party 3/6 tables. These games are so much easier! They are really loose and very passive especially poast flop.

The speed issue and not being able to multi-table doesn't bother me at all since I never multi-table anyway.

Perhaps splitting time between the two sites is a good idea. Pacific for the easier games and Party for the relatively greater challenge and to stay sharp...like working out a few times a week.

Does anyone here play Pacific as their "regular game" or even on a regular basis?

Finally, do the 5/10 games get any tougher? I've never played that high, but I'm thinkin' I might take a shot soon.

Pacific is the only place I play. I used to play at Paradise and Party, but once I found Pacific, there's no going back. It's weird that I now find Party to have fairly tight/aggressive games (by comparison).

I just moved up to the $10/20 level (worked my way up from the micros) and I still haven't seen the competition getting any better.

I think the slow and clunky software is the reason for the loose games. The people want action, and since they can't multi-table, they just play more hands at the one they're at. I say to Pacific, keep the software out-dated and keep it one table at a time.

pacific has a very loose game...try their stud...the ante is double all other sites but 5 people see seventh st.
their tourney are loose too..the site really has alot going for it in the way of action but.....
their software Sucks...its slow...u cant see hand a history..u cant leave your seat in tourney then come back..cashouts take a week...all in all though...the ACTION make up for its flaws in my opinion [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

These are the softest games ever. The 3/6 is amazing. The worst game at pacific is better than a good game at party, and party isn't exactly filled with world class players. I don't think it gets any harder at 5/10.
I usually have a table of pacific going while I'm playing at party, or for that matter, doing anything else on the internet. There are almost no hands per hour, so it's a pretty nice thing that you dont have to pay much attention to.

I signed up for Pacific about 2 months ago just to have a look but didn't make a deposit. Shortly after opening the account they deposited $10 free and clear. About two weeks ago, I ran it up to about $150 working up throught the micros buying in short using the 10xBB rule.

I eventually bottomed out at a 5/10 table buying short, but I'm convinced that any reasonably sucessful player with a proper bankroll available can do quite well there.

Does anyone know if their poker tables are connected to an online casino? Some of the players there are truely awful calling stations which leads me to believe they are there to gameble ala "yeah, let's try some poker".

They are affiliated with Casino On Net, so yes, they get a lot of casino people who decide to "try" poker.
