QQ, my arch nemesis
PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (8 handed)
Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, CO folds, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls, MP2 calls. Flop: (6.50 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, MP2 checks, Hero bets, BB folds, MP2 calls. Turn: (4.25 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) MP2 bets $1 (All-In), Hero calls. River: (6.25 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: 6.25 BB ----- Any comments on how I played this? The opponent I was up against (short stack) has placed ace-anything with frequency, but also has badly overplayed KTo, 88, and 55. Comments? Fold at the turn? Rob |

Re: QQ, my arch nemesis
You played flawlessly. Not a chance you can fold the turn.

Re: QQ, my arch nemesis
This is pretty standard. You can't fold the turn -- all-in bets are often meaningless.

Re: QQ, my arch nemesis
Don't be results oriented. Take an honest look at the action and ask yourself if it makes any kind of sense to fold.
