Default River play?

Up until the river, I think this is pretty standard. When the SB bets into me should I raise, call? I don't think folding is an option here. I've only been at the table about 15 hands at this point and SB is unknown to me, so assume typical party player.

I'd have to raise the river here. You've got top pair on the flop and the river only improves you. It's possible he's been a calling station with his straight and/or pocket 6's here, but I think he was probably calling with a small pair on the flop that improved to 2 pair (which you beat) on the river.

Without a read, I just call.

Very few players on these limits are capable of betting out on the river just because they inted to call you anyway and hope you fold.

So he probably improved. If you dont know if he will chase past the turn with any part of the flop then you will have to just call this, and make a note if has two pair.

I would raise him and call a 3-bet.

He has 2-pair a lot more than a set or straight here.

agreed. with aces up i raise here; if they had 23 they had a made straight already; if they had 78 you make a note. I would wager 64o, Q6, 65, you'd see 2 pair more often than 66 for a set or a straight. Raising here is fine, i reckon.

I would raise this against the typical .5/1 party opponent. I would expect to see a worse two pair more often than a better hand. The river bet may even be one pair or worse.

Hard to say what to do here, I lean towards calling.

I agree it's fairly close. My first instinct/thought when reading the thread was to raise but then after thinking about the possible hands that may bet into you on the river, considering the possibility of a 3-bet, and considering that a bluff or even smaller pair less than Aces may fold to a raise I realized that it's closer than I first thought. I am still leaning towards raise though.

Thanks all. It seems pretty split between raising and calling. After thinking for a while I called because I didn't have a read. SB showed Q6 for a rivered 2pr and MHIG. And yes, I made a note
