Default Party NL 6max table selection

Ive been playing party poker for about 2 months and I mainly play sng's and $50 or $100 6max nl tables. When choosing a table I used to avoid tables where players were up because I was intimidated and would look for tables where everyone was around the buy in. Now that ive improved a little I tend to go to tables where there are at least a few ppl up money simply b/c there is more money at the table to win and some people who caught a lucky hand and won a big pot tend to play much more loosely. Wondering if this makes any sense and if anyone has any advice on this?
