Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed)
Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. MP2 posts a blind of $5. CO posts a blind of $7. UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 (poster) checks, MP3 folds, CO (poster) checks, Button folds, Hero raises, BB calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 folds, CO calls. Flop: (9.40 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets, BB calls, UTG+1 raises, CO folds, Hero calls, BB calls. so he raises the flop i think flush draw, Q, two pair maybe fine he's still way behind me Turn: (7.70 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, BB folds, UTG+1 raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 caps, Hero calls. hmm, he caps the turn, well the fluhs doesn't get there he could have overplayed two pair or lower set River: (15.70 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 caps, Hero calls. hmm, he doesn't seem to be slowing down, i guess the man COULD have 87 but well...i don't think he has it enough to slow me down so i'm not gonna |

Re: too much with this top set?
I always play a set fast when the flop is two tone or has an obvious straight draw. In this case I would 3-bet the flop. I doubt if he would raise the flop with a gutshot so the only logical hand that beats you on the river is 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I would probably play it the same on my good days.
